This time 44-year-old Ames, 44 of Wrightsville, was convicted following a week long trial relating to a violent sexual assault that happened 2018.
Ames is known for punching his pregnant wife in the stomach and head so many times she threw up during an alcohol fuel domestic assault in 2015.
For that crime he was sentenced to 11½ to 23 months in York County Prison and mental-health, drug and alcohol evaluations. He and his wife were still together after his sentencing was completed, their current status is unknown.
Since then he committed two more assaults; both were violent and sexual according to court documents.
The first was in Oct. 27 and the second was in Nov. 1 both were in 2018.
Ames was found guilty of the Nov. 2018 assault on Friday.
He was convicted of the following:
- Two (2) counts of Strangulation
- Two (2) counts of Terroristic Threats
- Two (2) counts of Simple Assault
- One (1) count of Sexual Assault
- One (1) count of Aggravated Assault
- One (1) count of Intimidation of a Victim
Ames is scheduled to be sentenced by at 10 a.m. of July 29.
